Tracera leverages leading spend- and activity-based emission factor sources within the Scope 3 platform. Supported sources include USEEIO and Open CEDA for spend-based calculations, as well as ecoinvent, DEFRA, EPA, and IEA for activity-based calculations. These sources provide industry-standard emission factors, and updated versions are added to the platform as they become available.
The platform also supports supplier-specific emission factors and can readily accommodate additional custom emission factors or emission factor sources tailored to client-specific methodologies and data needs. This flexibility allows organizations to apply the most appropriate emission factors for their Scope 3 calculations and to evolve their approach over time as higher-quality or supplier-provided data becomes available.
