How does Tracera handle renewable energy certificates or green power purchases?***
RECs are managed at the Utility Provider level within the platform. You can upload and assign RECs to a specific site under Site Management, and they will be reflected in Scope 2 emissions calculations.
Renewable Energy Certificates are applied at the Utility Provider level in the Tracera Platform. To add RECs:
- Navigate to the Site Management Page
- Click into the Site you would like to apply RECs
- Scroll down to Utility Providers
- Select the leaf symbol next to the designated provider (if you hover over it, it will read “Upload Rec”)
