How does Tracera handle renewable energy certificates or green power purchases?***

RECs are managed at the Utility Provider level within the platform. You can upload and assign RECs to a specific site under Site Management, and they will be reflected in Scope 2 emissions calculations.

Renewable Energy Certificates are applied at the Utility Provider level in the Tracera Platform. To add RECs:

  1. Navigate to the Site Management Page
  2. Click into the Site you would like to apply RECs
  3. Scroll down to Utility Providers
  4. Select the leaf symbol next to the designated provider (if you hover over it, it will read “Upload Rec”)
